After 30 years on the Canadian market, the Pathfinder is still ahead of the game with a new offering for 2017. The revised Pathfinder features a freshened exterior look and enhanced safety and technology features, along with an impressive towing capability

Some Important Changes for the 2017 Nissan Pathfinder in Red Deer, Alberta

On the outside, the new Pathfinder features the new "V-Motion" grille and boomerang-shaped headlights with LED daytime running lights. Moreover, rear-view mirrors now include standard integrated turn signals and buyers who opt for the Platinum variant will benefit from new LED headlights.

In the rear, upgrades include new taillights and a stronger bumper design. For 2017, the Motion-Activated tailgate with position memory is standard on SL, SL Premium Tech and Platinum variants. Under the hood, the 2017 Pathfinder is powered by a new 3.5-litre V6 engine. Thanks to new components and technology, this powerplant now offers 284 hp and 259 lb-ft of torque. Mated to the engine is Nissan's third-generation Xtronic transmission that features D-Step Logic Control for a more natural acceleration, and Hill Start Assist, to help control when starting and driving away on a steep incline.

Buyers who opt for the 4WD versions will benefit from standard Hill Descent Control for maximum control and safety while driving on a steep descent. When properly equipped, this new Pathfinder can tow up to 6,000 pounds.

Inside, the 2017 Pathfinder is roomy and comfortable, and features unique connectivity features. A standard 8.0-inch touch-screen monitor, located in the center of the instrument panel, provides intuitive interaction and control of all the driver-selectable vehicle systems and settings the new Pathfinder has to offer.

Nissan Connect and Bluetooth are both standard on all variants. The available NissanConnect navigation system is offered as standard equipment on Pathfinder SL Premium Tech and Platinum grades.  The 2017 Pathfinder can accommodate 7 passengers comfortably, with many seating and cargo combinations, such as the 2nd row 60/40-split seat with manual slide/recline/fold flat and 3rd row 50/50-split seat with manual recline/flat fold.

New cloth seat fabric is offered on the S and SV grades, while leather seating is standard on SL, SL Premium Tech and Platinum models.
