Nissan’s channeled everything masculine and manly in the Titan XD’s exterior design. If it’s bigger you want, then the Titan is the pickup for you. Everything on this truck is larger than life from the oversized chrome grille to the equally large and dominating headlights. Head round to the 6.5-foot bed and you’ll notice more chrome inserts on the tailgate, all making a serious statement. The Crew Cab adds to the Nissan Titan XD’s overall 20-foot length (from nose to tail). Yup, it’s that big. This pickup is large, and in all the right ways.
Large in size and road presence, the 2016 Nissan Titan XD is also big in capabilities: When properly equipped, this pickup has a maximum towing capacity of 12,000lbs and a max payload of 2,000lbs.
Powerful in Every Way
Thanks to a powerful Cummins 5.0L V8 turbo diesel engine that offers up 310 horsepower and 555 lb-ft of torque the 2016 Nissan Titan XD is able to get the job done. A 6-speed Aisin automatic transmission handles the power, and FWD is available, though the Titan XD can also be outfitted with a PRO-4X package that means all four wheels get to workin’.
The cabin of the 2016 Nissan Titan XD might not be as technologically advanced as some pickups on the market right now, but that’s because Nissan chose to focus on what really matters to pickup truck buyers: capacity and capability numbers. Payload and towing were more important than head-up displays and smartphone integration, and the engineers at Nissan chose the right battle to fight in the pickup world. The 2016 Nissan Titan XD is a workhorse, built and bred to get the job done and done well. That’s where the Titan XD really shines.
The 2016 Nissan Titan XD is built to take on the best of the best from the Big Three. The Japanese automaker have proven they’re in the game to stay, and possibly take the top spot while they’re there.
